# FirmTape docs

> One guide a product: what it measures, where to find it, how to read it in thirty seconds, and every feature written up step by step.

**It does not tell you direction.** **It tells you where the book stands and how far price may travel.**

Direction was tested three independent ways on this data and is not there: momentum on negative gamma does not replicate over 2022 to 2026, the sign of net gamma carries nothing across horizons, and a **random** entry time beats the crossing of a gamma threshold. So there are no arrows on this screen and no trade calls in any message: there is nothing honest to put in them.

What holds up is size. The expected move is calibrated: over 1,088 sessions the close landed inside one expected move 72.4% of the time. Read the numbers for position size, stop width and whether the day's geometry suits your own model, never for which way to face.

Every number is a measurement from a named book: the **volume** book (the conventional public object, built here from the tape), the **open-interest** book, or the **measured** book, signed print by print from the tape and its quotes. The guides say which book each reading comes from.
